Busy Busy Bees

Life is picking up here in our sunny town. The weather is staying above zero and everything is turning into a mud pit as a result. M's parents were just here for a visit, it was..... good. I was so tired the whole time, but it was nice to have them here. We ate lots of good food, I have to admit that I like showing off a bit when people are over. I don't think I'm a great cook, but I like making good things and just having a comfy time with people. Now they are on their way to Tim and Arias house in P.G., did I mention that they were just in Texas last week. Oh man, they're just crazy. But apparently Texas was colder than here, yipee!
We went to Ed a couple weeks ago to hang out with Travis, Laura, and Amy. It was so much fun, went to the water park for the first time and did lots of shopping. I was also tired that weekend, seems this pregnancy thing is hard work sometimes! It dumped snow while we were there, our poor car was buried. We drove around in the 'Burb' all weekend and had some pretty good laughs and possibly got lost a few time, stupid city!
The weekend after that we went to P.G. for Tim's birthday. Pretty sure the theme of this month is "Good Food". This weekend was the climax of that. Aria made a cheesecake, oh it was incredible. We made Samosas, fried chicken, really good veggie dip, uhhh yea a bunch of other random things. The next morning the guys made steak, eggs, prawns, waffles, the works. It was just wow, so amazing. Matthew had apparently never eaten prawns before and thought it was a good idea to eat the wee little legs and shell ,yuck! It's no wonder he doesn't like the things!
Next weekend (April 8th ish) we're going to Oregon for about 10 days! I'm determined to just drive straight down there, but the H's think this is a crazy idea. Obviously they don't know how us M's travel! Get in the car, go and only stop if you can pee, gas and food up at the same place, and you better get back in the car in 10 minutes or else! And you only stop once every 7 or 8 hours, depending on how good your car is on gas. I love it. But for some reasons these H's like rest stops. I can't figure out if it's the free coffee (which I mean lets be honest, definitely isn't worth the stop) or if they're just tired and bored. Anyhoo, I'm so excited to see my nieces. I have three nieces that live down there, Rosemarie (flowergirl) Judy, and Clara. I miss seeing them all the time, it's so hard to be so far away from so many people that you love so much. SO so so. On the way home we're hoping to stop at my grandparents house and it works out nice that my parents will be there too.
So that's our future travel plans. We've (and by we I mean M) been busy getting our house stuff going. Our holes are dug and now we're getting footings and all that fun stuff. It's so hard to believe that this is actually our house. Walking around our muddy dirt hole just feels so surreal, I mean you can see why. How often do you get to call a hole your very own. And you should see the piles of dirt in our back yard! It reminds me of being a kid and sliding down them, and playing with Ryans Tonka trucks. Those were good times. I wore rubber boots to our hole yesterday and got to squish around as much as I wanted. Oh man, I'll always be a kid at heart.
Speaking of kids, ours is pretty cute. It gets hiccups a lot. Sometimes it moves so much I think an arm will pop outta my belly button. I keep promising to post a picture, but I forgot to bring any pictures with me to this computer, so just be patient. I love you all and will write again soon. Ciao!
